NormanCHAPPLE (DERBY)Peacefully at home with his family on 17th April 2019, aged 87 years. Norman, beloved husband of Isabel Pamela and father of Claire-Louise and Olivia. Grandpa of Dominic, Nicholas and Aidan. Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at St John the Baptist Church, Smalley on Tuesday 7th May at 1:45pm, followed by cremation at the Markeaton Crematorium.

I first met Mr Chapple at Llanelli rugby club in 1980/81. He was a gentleman and asked me if I had considered the police force as a career. As a result of his encouragement and help I joined the South Wales Constabulary and enjoyed a 30 yrs career. I maintained a great relationship with Mr Chapple who I held with the highest regard. So sorry to hear that he has passed away. Rest in Peace Norman.
